CAROLINE RABE

Mrs. August (Caroline) Rabe, aged 68, widow of the late August C. Rabe, passed away on her birth date Friday at 1 a. m. at her farm home in the town of Schleswig, near Steinthal. Mrs. Rabe hadsuffered a stroke earlier in the week, and had been in ailing health for a number of years.
Mrs. Rabe, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schnell was born inthe town of Schleswig on February 25, 1876. She was married to August Rabe on August 20, 1898, and the couple settled on the present farm home where she passed away. Her husband preceded herin death on September 27, 1943.
Survivors are the following ten children: Mrs. Frank(Amanda) Karstaedt of the town of Meeme, Mrs. Michael Lechler of the town of Eaton, Mrs. Eldon (Dorothy) Fluhr of Meggers, Mrs. Francis Wagner, residing near Kiel, Alvin of the town of Schleswig, Alfon of the town of Eaton, Ruben of Manitowoc, Frederick of this city, and Elmer and Arno at home. Other survivors are 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Reichert of this city, Mrs. John Ruh of the town of Schleswig, Mrs. William Ott of near Valders; and 2 brothers, William Schnuell of New Holstein and Carl Schnuell of Manitowoc. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
