Norman C. Rabe, 77, of Route 1, Kiel, died Thursday morning in Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adelbert Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Rabe, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, was born Oct. 21, 1905 in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late George and Lydia Roehl Rabe. He attended Hillside Grove District School in the township and married Edna Peters Oct. 26, 1926 in St. Peter United Church of Christ, Town of Rhine. Farming their entire married life in the Town of Schleswig, they moved to Rockville six months ago. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Men's Club of the church and former Church Council president. He was also a member of Manitowoc County Farm Bureau and former member of Louis Corners' School Board.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald of rural Sheboygan Falls and Glenn Lee at home; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Marlene) ?? of rural Brillion; two brothers, Lester of rural Plymouth and George of rural New Holstein and six grandchildren.
A brother, a sister and a grandson preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 4 pm Friday until 11 am Saturday and in the church from noon until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his memory,
