She was the former Delores H. Schumacher, born Nov. 4, 1927 in Howards Grove, daughter of the late Oscar and Lillie Erbstoeszer Schumacher. Delores attended Howards Grove Grade School and was a graduate of Howards Grove High School. She continued her education in Sheboygan completing a short business course in 1945. She worked at State Bank of Howards Grove after graduation.
On May 22, 1948, she married Lyle H. Reichardt at Immanuel Untied Church of Christ in the town of Herman. Lyle preceded her in death Dec. 4, 2006.
The couple owned and operated Reichardt Service Kiel for 22 ½ years. To keep herself busy after her retirement, she did various cleaning jobs and babysitting.
Delores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, and a member of the Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren and letting them win, baking, puzzles and swing night-night blankets for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her five children, 10 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren, two sisters and one sister-in-law (names omitted for privacy).
She was also preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Elmer Kueter, Robert Barrett and Norman Reichardt.
Joint funeral services for Lyle and Delores were held Friday evening, Dec. 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, with the Rev. David Laabs officiating. Burial took place in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Louis Corners.
