Mrs. Alma Schmidt, 92, of Rt. 1 Kiel, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Graf, with whom she resided. Funeral services will be Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adalbert Schulz will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Schmidt, nee Alma Voigt, was born August 7, 1884, in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothea Bliebernicht Voigt. She attended a district school in the area and was married to Henry W. Schmidt Nov. 26, 1908, at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners of which she was a member. They owned and operated a tavern at Rockville for 18 years before moving to the Schmidt home farm. Mr. Schmidt preceded her in death July 20, 1946.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arno (Verna) Graf, of Rt. 1 Kiel, and Mrs. Lucile Conrad, of Rt. 1, Cleveland, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. Six brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
