Alma Schneider, 92, former Kiel resident, died Tuesday evening, October 1, at
Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she resided for the past six years.
Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday at Zion Lutheran church, Louis Corners.
Rev. Adalbert Schultz will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Schneider, nee Alma Mueller was born April 5, 1893, in the Town of Meeme,
daughter of the late Henry and Christine Tagge Mueller. She attended district
schools at Louis Corners. He married William Schneider on December 23, 1913 at
Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. After their marriage the couple farmed in
the Town of Meeme and later in the Town of Liberty, until 1955 when Mr. Schneider
passed away. Mrs. Schneider then resided with her daughters. She was a member of
Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners.
Survivors include a son, Gilbert of Collins; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Valetta)
Quandt of Wilkes Lake and Mrs. Anton (Aurelia) Stiefvater of Kiel; a brother,
Harry Mueller of Chilton; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great
great grandchildren also survived. She was preceded in death by three sisters and
three brothers.
Friends may call at the church from 11 am on Friday until the hour of service.
There will be no Thursday evening visitation at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
