TOM BEAN - Velma Box Gist passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home. Velma was 101 and lived in Tom Bean. She was born on March 9, 1912 in Climax to R. B. Box and Mary Driggers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Jack) Gist; a son, Bill Gist; four sisters; three brothers; and two grandsons.
She is survived by a son, Michael Gist and wife Connie of San Antonio; daughters, Mary Nell Miller and Ella Joyce Gist of Tom Bean; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.
