Burlen Leon Jones, 69, of Ten Mile, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at the home of his brother, William Jones.

A son of the late John and Mary Bledsoe Jones, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was retired from Conoco Oil Company in Etowah. He was preceded in death by one brother, Isaac B. Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Bull of Dunedin, Fla., and Jennifer Tallent of Loudon; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Tammie Jones of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Jonathan Leon Jones, Olivia Star Jones, Tyler Andrews and Kinalyn "Pineknot" Tallent; two sisters, Mary Ruth Franklin and Johnnie Grace Couch, both of Madisonville; three brothers, Jerry Jones and Ralph Jones, both of Madisonville, and William Jones of Ten Mile; and his former wives, Margie Jones of Tellico Plains, and the mother of his children, Shirley Ann Andrews, of Loudon.

Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Friday at Community Baptist Church in Madisonville with the Rev. John Mantooth officiating.

His cremains will be interred in Jones Family Cemetery in Bybee, located in Cocke County.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jones Family Cemetery, P.O. Box 608, Ten Mile, TN 37880.
