Founder of Eikenberry Insurance Services, Inc. in Flora, he had remained actively involved in the business. For many years, he had been a clerk at Rinehart Auction Co. in Flora. Mr. Eikenberry was a member of Bringhurst United Methodist Church and a member and past president of Flora Rotary Club.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. John) Miller of Flora and Sara (Mrs. Robert) Eaton of Indianapolis; one son, Joseph W. Eikenberry of Flora; a sister, Lois Lane of Flora; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
