This picture shows the original location of the tombstones of Peter Wimbrow and Sarah Tubbs Wimbrow (Peter’s wife). Their tombstones and the stone of their son, Robert T. Wimbrow, were relocated to the Wimbrow Family Cemetery after being damaged by vandals. According to John E. Jacob’s book titled Graveyards and Gravestones of Wicomico, their original location was in the Peter Wimbrow Family Cemetery on the north side of Twilley Bridge Road at Fooks Road. Both cemeteries are near the community of Wango in Wicomico County, Maryland. [Reference: John E. Jacob, compiler, Graveyards and Gravestones of Wicomico (Salisbury, Maryland: The Salisbury Advertiser, 1971), 46]

This picture shows Peter Wimbrow's tombstone as it looked after it was damaged by vandals and relocated to the Wimbrow Family Cemetery. It was damaged by vandals a second time and is now lying flat on the ground.
