Marriage Bond dated Nov 7, 1785 in Rutherford Co., North Carolina lists Freeman Jones and Christian Paris.
On court affidavit dated March 13, 1849 Christina Jones signed her mark and made her son Freeman Jones Junior her agent in regards to her deceased husband Freeman Jones' pension payment.
Daughter of George Pearis (Paris/Parris). George had a sister also named Christian.Christina married Freeman Jones on 7 Nov 1785 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Her last name was spelled Paris on the marriage bond. They had at least nine children.

Her husband served in the Revolutionary War and later drew a pension for that service. After his death in 1835 she was awarded the widows pension.

Court records show that on 13 Mar 1849 she named her son, Freeman Jones Jr. as her agent to transact business for her. She could not write, but she made her mark.
