Rommie Lee "Bee" Adcock, 87, husband of Christine Davis Adcock, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at his home. He was born August 23, 1922 to the late Ollie C. and Mollie Wiles Adcock. Rommie Lee served in the First Armored Division of the U.S. Army during World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received. He was a member of VFW Post 8163 and DAV. Rommie Lee was a retired Boiler Room Technician with Burlington Industries, and retired tobacco and cattle farmer. A member of Nelson Baptist Church, a funeral service will be held there 2PM Thursday with the Reverend Jim McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his wife of 63 years, Rommie Lee is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Jim Weaver of Raleigh, NC and grandson, Barton "Bart" Wester and his wife, Michelle, of Rolesville, NC. His
great-grandchildren, Samantha and Brad Wester of Rolesville, NC and brother, Ernest C. "EC" Adcock, of Richmond, also survive. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Wednesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. The family would like
