He was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Cheyenne. Mr. McIntyre served in the Navy as a petty officer during World War II.
He worked as a fireman for Cheyenne for 34 years and retired in 1987. Mr. McIntyre was a member of the Veterans of Foreign, American Legion and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his son, Michael McIntyre of Eatontown, N.J.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. McIntyre, whom he married in 1948; two sons, Tom McIntyre and Joe McIntyre; and his parents, Michael J. and Margaret McIntyre.
