JoAnne B. Aten, age 78, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at her home under the loving care of family and hospice. She was born in Canton, OH and came to Florida 20 years ago. She was a member of trinity United Church of Christ. JoAnne graduated from Canton Lincoln High School and Flora Stone Mather College. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. Aten, Jr. She is survived by her son, Jim Aten, and his wife, Denise of Spring Hill, FL; three daughters, Debbie McCoy, and her husband, Rick of Canton, OH, and Sandy Arbuckle and her husband, Doug of Louisville, KY; three grandsons, Jason, Stuart, and Andrew; five granddaughters, Gail, Sarah, Jenna, Madeline, and Jennifer. Graveside services will held at North Lawn Cemetery on April, 2, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Stephen A. Gifford officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Assoc. or American Cancer Society. Services entrusted to Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes, Spring Hill Chapel and Schneeberger Funeral Home in Canton.
