William R. Trotter, son of Isom and Nancy Trotter, was born March 17, 1853; died Oct 4 1928.
He was united in marriage to Martha J. Thomason on March 24 1875. To this union were born twelve children, three of whom have preceded him in death. Two died in infancy and Mrs. Clarence Standerfer of Delafield passed away on Feb 21, 1920.
He leaves to mourn their loss, a loving companion and nine children: Mrs. J. W. McThompson, Willie, Gregg and Lyman of Peoria, Mrs. Matt Maulding of Delafield, Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell of Blooming Grove, Mrs. Frank Zachman of West Frankfort, Isom and Oscar of Belle Prairie; also 31 grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Dave Koger, of Chicago, and a host of other relatives and friends.
When just a young man, he professed faith in Christ but was never idenitied with any children. In his last conversation with his family, he assured them that he was ready to go.
