J. D. Close, of Patterson, died last Tuesday. The funeral services were held on Wednesday, under the auspices of the Onawah Tribe of Red Men, of Des Moines, of which he was a member.
Note: Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
Religion: Believed to be part Cherokee Indian, but not proven, through his Grandmother Rebecca Beams, whose mother was Jeldon Holdsclaw.
