Clyde, TX -- Clogene Cox, 83, of Clyde died Monday May 17, 2010 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Clyde Church of Christ under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral home. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cox was born in Redwater, Texas October 29, 1926 to Aubrey and Lola Bean McRae. She attended schools in O'Donald. She married Clyde Cox February 1, 1941 in O'Donald. They lived in Washington, Oregon & California before moving to Abilene in 1951. They later moved to Clyde in 1961. While living in Abilene she worked for Timex and the Preston Milk Stores. When they moved to Clyde, she went to work for Nick Saab, who owned Thrifty's Food Mart, where she worked until her death. She was a member of the Clyde Church of Christ.

Mrs. Cox is survived by one son, Burl Cox and wife Carolyn of Clyde; one daughter, Sharon Glaze and husband Tony of Abilene; four grandchildren, John Cox and wife Kristie of Clyde, James Cox and wife Lisa of Abilene, Julie Shirley and husband Mark of Lubbock and Chris Glaze of Abilene; eight great grandchildren, Jaclyn Long, Andrea Keller, J.D., Brady, Ryan, and Kaitlyn Cox, Kinsley Cherry and Brittany Presley; one great great granddaughter, Blaize Presley; nephew, Jeff Cox, who she helped raise; very dear friend Nick Saab; one brother Billy McRae and wife Lore of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and a lot of close friends.
