Doris R. Aldrich-Larkin, 91, formerly of Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, a retired manufacturing inspector, died November 28, 2003, at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Larkin and the late Albert E. Aldrich. Born in Lancaster, Mass., a daughter of the late William A. and Regina M. (Cadrette) Appleton, she had lived in Providence most of her life before moving to Cumberland four years ago. Mrs. Larkin had been an inspector at the Imperial Knife Co. for 14 years before retiring in 1982. She leaves two daughters, Carol Ann Aldrich, RSM, of Providence, and Maureen E. McMullen of Coventry; a son, Thomas F. Aldrich of Naples, FL; two sisters, Evelyn I. Botts and Catherine A. Palombo, both of Warwick; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Doris R. Guay and Edward A. and Richard A. Aldrich and sister of the late Earl, Bernard, William and Eugene Appleton, Marion Edwards and Cleona Suttles. The funeral was held from Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial was in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Mt. Saint Rita Health Centre, 15 Sumner Brown Rd., Cumberland, RI 02864 would be appreciated.
