Margaret Matilda Eakin, 96, entered into her eternal reward Friday, June 5, 2009, at the West Haven Nursing Home in Apollo. She was born in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Margaret and Wilmer Snyder. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Eakin; loving and devoted mother of Margaret (Wesley) Mack and Thomas (Debbie) Eakin; and grandmother of Michelle (Sam) Fiore, Brandon (Chrissy) Mack, Jeff Eakin and Jennifer Eakin. She was cherished by her five great-grandchildren, Ben, Annie and Ryan Mack and Mia and Sam Fiore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Kelley; and a brother, Kenneth Snyder. Margaret played an active role in her church that included teaching Sunday School for many years, Women's Missionary Society and the church choir. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Free Methodist Church, Greensburg. A celebration of Margaret's life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Greensburg Free Methodist Church, 1261 Topper's Road, Greensburg, with the Rev. Bryce Grieco officiating and the Rev. Byron T. Eisaman. Interment will follow at Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township
