St. Ansgar – Funeral services for Albert Carl Bartz, 79, were held Thursday afternoon at the Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. H. C. Wolters officiating. Burial was in Immanual Lutheran cemetery.
Mr. Bartz was born January 29, 1872 in Newburg township in Mitchell county. He was married October 21, 1896, to Bertha Berndt at Toeterville. They lived on farms near Toeterville and St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1946, 4 children and a sister.
Survivors include two brothers, Herman, Oakland, and Emil, Los Angeles, two sisters, Mrs. Helen Radtke, Scofield, Wis., and Mrs. Ida Petznick, Grafton, and nieces and nephews.
