George, age 96, of Mishicot, entered into eternal life on Monday at his residence. He was born to Joseph & Betsy (Zima) Aulik, and was a longtime Mishicot-area resident. He married Ethel M. Schroeder on Oct. 4, 1939, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills with the Rev. John Raus officiating. Last year the couple celebrated 70 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2010. George & Ethel farmed in the Town of Two Creeks for many years, and he also was employed as a truck driver by the Kornely Dairy. George excelled in his driving skills. He and Ethel enjoyed polka dancing. George also liked to garden and was an avid card player. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Bev Aulik of Fort Atkinson, WI, and Wayne and Kathy Aulik of Manitowoc, WI; four grandchildren, Maria (Dorian) Kruse, Michelle (James) Springer, Justin Aulik and special friend Katie, and Quintin Aulik; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Alli and A.J.; one sister, Lucille Augustine of Two Rivers, WI; one brother-in-law, Frank Siebold of Tisch Mills, WI; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he also was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Siebold and Mayme Kunesh. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 22, at the Funeral Home, Mishicot, with the Rev. Paul Paider officiating. The Aulik family would like to extend a special thank you to Ellen Kulas and the entire staff of Homecare Health Services & Hospice for the excellent care and love given to George during his illness.
