Vivian was the daughter of Andrew Jackson & Elizabeth Ann Lawyer Hanley. She married Horace Stewart 10 Oct 1917, Coles County, Illinois. Vivian was a twin to Lillian Hanley Trexler (1898-1977)

Charleston — Mrs. Horace (Vivian Hanley) Stewart, 87, of rural Charleston died 1:45 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 14, 1985) in her home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Caudill-King Funeral Home, Charleston, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Coles County, daughter of A. J. & Elizabeth Hanley. She was a member of Liberty Church, rural Charleston. She married Horace Stewart in 1917. He died in 1973.

Surviving are her son, H. J. Stewart of Charleston; daughters, Mrs. Fred (Freda) Stanberry of Charleston; Mrs. Lester (Betty) Claypool of Martinsville; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

One daughter and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
