During WWII he worked for the Government Manpower Commission in Chaute, Kansas. Member of the Masonic Lodge #214 in Simpson, Kansas and the Lions International Club.
On 26 August 1925 in Concordia, Cloud, Kansas, he married Gladys Etha McKee. They had no children.
