Bonnie Josephine Jenkins, 75, of Coldwater died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

Born Jan. 15, 1935, at Ashland, she was the daughter of Roy Cecil and Frances Georgia (Cline) Burkhall.

Bonnie was a lifetime resident of Coldwater. She attended New Home School and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1953.

She worked as a waitress for many years and was also the secretary for F.S.A. and Hatfield Motors. She was the secretary for the First Christian Church in Coldwater for more than 20 years. She was married to Robert Jenkins and they were divorced in 1963.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Coldwater, where she was actively involved with community service.

Her other memberships included C.W.F., Coldwater B.P.W., and the Red Hat Society. She also volunteered to help coordinate the Prairie Land Foods program locally.

Her survivors include: two sons Gordon Jenkins and his wife Mary of Cimarron, and Kevin Jenkins and his wife Petra of Kuopio, Finland; one daughter, Robin Bratcher and her husband Chet of Protection; one brother, Danny Burkhall of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Ball and her husband Nic, Amber Bratcher, Emilia Jenkins, Ashley Ivie and her husband Jacob, Nick Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, Jr., Elicia Jenkins, Britnie Jenkins, Nathan Jenkins, Alexandria Bratcher, Cecilia Jenkins, Jasmin Jenkins, and Patrick Jenkins; and three greatgrandchildren, Michael Jenkins, Audrey Ivie, and Reagan Ball.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons: Dale Robert Jenkins and Brian Keith Jenkins.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m., this Friday, May 28, 2010, at the First Christian Church in Coldwater, with Andrew Evans and Chet Mendenhall presiding.

Burial will follow the funeral at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater.
