Harry Felton was a very hard-worker with high moral standards. He quit school after the second grade to work in the mines. I remember him coming home from work with a completely black face. He was the true patriarch of the family, and no one questioned his authority even his much larger sons. He was a protector of women. No one – even family members- could disrespect Mary in any way. She was on a pedestal. He believed that all men should take care of women. He was caring and loved his family. He also considered himself a ‘Johnny Bull' (stubborn Englishman).
