Mrs. Carrie Ruth (Poston) Harris passed away July 18, 1957 at the Lady Ann Hospital in Livingston.
She was born November 28, 1929 in Overton County. She was the daughter of Elizabeth M. "Lizzy" (Ramsey) Poston and the late John Dillard Poston. She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, L.N. Harris, an infant son, Bobby Lewis Harris; 3 brothers and sister-in-law; Allen Gastel and Mary Lou Poston,of Monterey, Fred Deloy and Johnny Poston, both of Livingston; and two sisters and brother-in-law; Nettie and Paul Coffee of Livingston and Betty Jo Poston of Livingston; and 9 half brothers and sisters.
In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zadock and Mary Jane "Polly" Langford Poston and Andrew Jackson and Martha Lee Ramsey.
