Billie Jean Diveley, 81, of Vandalia, died at 12:55 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Altamont Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with B.J. Deal officiating. Burial will be in Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Griffith Cemetery.
Mrs. Diveley was born on Feb. 1, 1929, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of J.K. and Bonnie Lanier Morgan. She married Darrell Diveley on May 2, 1946, in Effingham; he died on Feb. 7, 1993.
She is survived by sons, Tom Diveley and his wife Carla of Vandalia, Joe Diveley and his wife Alice of Mattoon, and Bob Diveley and his wife Susan of Brownstown.
