Wichita Plumbing Contractor Dies

Artie Elmer Vaughn, 52, of 3315 Arkansas, died Tuesday night at St. Francis Hospital.

A resident of Wichita since 1921, Mr. Vaughn was a plumbing contractor. He moved here from Huntsville, Ark. He was born Jan. 3, 1904 in Huntsville.

Mr. Vaughn was a member of Wellington Place Baptist Church. North End Kiwanis Club, Wichita Master Plumbers Assn., National Association of Plumbing Contracttors. Wichita Association of Home Builders. Masonic Lodge. Wichita Consistory and Midian Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a daughter, Mrs. Aileen Lee, 3243 N. Market; two sons, Donald, 3215 Jackson, and Artie Elmer Jr., of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Rainey, 518 N. Beebe, Mrs. Audie Corkery, Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Parker, Hinesville, Ark.; three brothers, Bruce, Independence, Kan:, Bert. Hot Springs, Ark., and Arlis V., East St. Louis, Ill., and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Downing Mortuary.
