George married Minnie on October 13, 1923, in Michigan. They had one child, Shirley Ann. George had one sister Amy who was epileptic and put into an institution. He also had two half sisters, Pearl and Beatchie, and one half brother, Emmett. George was many things including a farmer, lumberjack, owned a couple gas stations, a laborer in Detroit and Flint during the depression and much more, to survive.
