He was born January 22, 1916, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Married Elsie Marie Gustafson on May 25, 1942.

World War II Air Force Veteran, decorated for service over North Africa from 1942-1945. He was the bombardier on the famous "Tidewater Tilly." Graduate from Sioux Falls College and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Lived and worked all over the United States as a geological engineer. Retired in 1980 from U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Father of three sons and one daughter, Steve and Craig, Elko, Nev.; Jeff (Kathy), Hibbing, Minn.; and Linda Kramer of Sandy; His wife, children and eight grandchildren all survive him.

Dad was a very spry senior. He had three passions: eating all kinds of rich foods, watching all kinds of sports, and talking about the "Good Old Times." He was so great at "remembering the memories"...we will all miss his quick wit and his little notes on cards.

Private family services will be held, followed by cremation and interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
