U. S. Census 1880 listed: Charles-29; Addie-28; Ernest-9; Gracie-3; Edgar A. [Edgar A. Edward]-1 They lived in Atchison City, Kansas.
(Charles' brother, Edgar A. Griffin, died in 1879 and it appears that Charles & Addie named their new born son in his honor, but tacked on the name Edward).
Charles died in 1884. At that time Edgar would have been age 5, Gracie-7, Ernest-13.
So far, 2015, I have not located the death and burial of Edgar A. Edward Griffin. In 1930, "Edward A Griffin" (48) was living in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri with his wife, Gertrude N. Griffin (46) and his mother, Addie (80). He is a Pharmacist, owns his own home and lives at 2802 Sixth Street. He was age 25 at first marriage (one of the categories on census). His date of birth is listed as abt 1882, which is misleading. Addie's presence is what leads me to believe this is the son of Charles Truman Griffin.
