Mr. Jameson was a retired insurance agent and former truck and bus driver, World War II veteran.
He was a man who touched many lives in the tri-county area through volunteer work in nursing homes, schools, and daycare centers. He and his wife were also known as Mr. and Mrs. Claus during the Christmas holidays.
Mr. Jameson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Mary (Bette) Adams Jameson; three daughters Chere' Riley and husband Clyde of Moncks Corner, Rhonda Jerome and husband Joseph "Joe" of North Charleston, Regina and husband Donnie of Albany, Kentucky; three sons Robert "Bobby" Jameson and wife Carla of North Charleston, Randall "Randy" Jameson and wife Connie of Anderson and USAF Russell E. "Jamie" Jameson Jr. and wife Amanda of Milford, DE; sister, Ruby Holland and husband Versal of Florence, CO; twenty grandchildren and thirty great-grand children, several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Carolina Memorial Park.
