Albert C. Sander, 65, Succumbs at Home in Cape of Heart Malady
Albert C. Sander, 65 years old, died of a heart ailment at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night at his home, 523 South Benton Street. He had been in ill health about two years.
The body was removed to the Lorberg Funeral Home. Definite funeral arrangements had not been made today pending communication with a son who is in the Army. The rites, however, will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Sander was a member, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Sander was born June 11, 1878, at Dutchtown and spent the early part of his life on a farm there. He was married 40 years ago to Miss Amanda Mueller at Jackson. The family had resided in Cape Girardeau for 32 years, Mr. Sander working as an electrician until his retirement two years ago.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Albert Jr., in the Army; three daughters, Mrs. Lester Whitticre, Mrs. Edward Spalding and Mrs. J. D. Mills, Jr., all of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Martin Sander of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mrs. Will Leuring of Gordonville; and six grandchildren.

RITES – Funeral services for Albert C. Sander, 65 years old, who died Saturday night at his home, 523 South Benton Street, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church by the pastor, Rev. F. H. Melzer. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. The body will be moved at 1 o'clock Thursday from the Lorberg Funeral Home to the church. A son, Albert Jr., in the Army, will not be able to attend the services. The family was notified today through the American Red Cross that he is now in foreign service.
