THE LAMPASAS LEADER
FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 1899
Many friends in Lampasas will sympathize with Mrs. A. M. Hargrave, formerly Miss Ione Townsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Townsen, in her bereavement in the death of her husband, after just three months of happy married life. They were married December 9 and the husband died March 9 of smallpox in Laredo. At the time of his death Mr. Hargrave was traveling for the Kline Cigar Company, of Chicago. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., April 1, 1864, and his father and mother and sister were killed in the great tornado in that city May 27, 1896. His twin brother, Alfred, who, when last heard from, was in Montana, is the sole survivor of the family.

His burial place is unknown. I picked this cemetery since the family lived in Lampasas.
