Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday, Oct 22, 2004 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Betty Clepper, age 80, of St. Cloud who died on Monday, Oct. 18, 2004 at her home in Benedict Village in St. Cloud. The Reverend Meinrad Dindorf, OSB, will officiate. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum.
Friends may call between 4-9 PM on Thursday and after 9 am on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Peter's parish prayers will be Thursday at 7 PM at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Betty was born on Oct 28, 1923 in Sauk Rapids, MN to Duke and Florence (Graham) Coborn. She graduated from Cathedral High School and the College of St. Benedict's School of Nursing. She married Russell William Clepper II on Nov. 4, 1947 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, MN. She was a registered nurse practicing in Florida and California prior to her marriage and after having her family, she resumed her career at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center where she retired after 20 years. Betty was a wonderful caregiver and a loving wife, mother grand-mother, great grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her children: Russell III and his wife Joanne of St. Cloud, Scot of St. Cloud, Beckie Schaefer and her husband Cliff of Litchfield, Teryl Bicknell and her husband Dan of St. Cloud, Tim and his wife Fran of Oceanside, CA, Wendy Atkinson and her husband Rodney of Freeport; grandchildren: Jamie, Brandy, Karrie, Adam, Graham, Bridget, Spencer, Meredith, Ben and Chelsea; great grandchildren: Jacob, Emma, and Rylee; brother Dan and his wife Mabel of Sartell and sister Nancy Fandel and her husband Mike of Cold Spring.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 14, 2002, son Robert and daughter Mary, brothers Robert, William, Ronald and Neil.
Pallbearers will be Chris Coborn, Shelly Coborn, Mark Coborn, Denise Fandel, Jim Korman and Neil Fandel.
