MELBA RUTH COX KEESEY, 85, of Anderson, passed away May 27, 2010 at St. John's Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born February 19, 1925 in Lyons, she was the daughter of Orville and Opal Richardson McLaughlin.

She had lived in Anderson since 1943 and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Whetstone Christian Church.

Melba is survived by her son, Greg Cox of Anderson; three granddaughters, Cara Cox and Corrine Cox both of Wichita, Kansas and Lisa (Mehdi) Riaza of Irving, Texas; two great-grandchildlren, Mason and Mia Riaza, both of Irving, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William Cox; second husband, Don Keesey; son, Gary Cox; brother, Damon McLaughlin; and sister, June Bogard.

Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home in Anderson with Rev. Steve Gettinger officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
