He was the son of Curtis Wright and the late Willie Mae Russell.

Survivors include his father; brothers, William Wright of West Columbia & Wayne Wright of Elgin; sisters, Linda Earnhart & Ruth Wright, both of West Columbia.

Graveside services were conducted on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
