FROM THE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION - MEMORIAL SERVICE PLANNED FOR ALBERT GLENN RICHARDSON - A memorial service for Albert Glenn Richardson will be held in the New Bethel Baptist Church, of which he was a member, on Saturday, March 20 at 11 AM. He passed away December 20, 1992, in Brownsville, Texas. Glenn was always an active person. He started his career on his bicycle delivering papers, then he delivered ice in the summer and coal in the winter for McPherson Ice and Coal Company. Next he worked for Stew Joyce in Joyce's Auto Service, located in the same building now operated by John Yoke. From there he worked for Herb Moeller and Skelly Oil. After a few months at Mallory Manufacturing, he enlisted in the Navy. Following the Navy, he spent the rest of his working career with Skelly Oil as plant manager. In retirement, he moved to Brownsville, Texas where he could enjoy the port. While he was still physically able, he worked with the handicapped children at the Lincoln Park School. He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge in Paoli, Indiana, the Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Jewel; three daughters, Diana Stevenson, Carol Watson and Donna Clear; nine grandchildren; one great - grandchild; brother Jary Richardson; sisters, Betty Rabourn, Pauline Cooper and Iona Wineberg
