Funeral services for Wendell D. Aughenbaugh, 82, of Shermans Dale, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church.

He died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001 at Carlisle Hospital. Born Aug. 10, 1918, he was the son of the late Leyman and Birdie Aughenbaugh.

He was a farmer and a retired employee of the former TRW, Harrisburg. He was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale Fire Co., and Senior Citizens of Shermans Dale.

Mr. Aughenbaugh is survived by his wife, Helen Shearer Aughenbaugh; a son, Ronald L. Aughenbaugh of Shermans Dale; a daughter, Shirley A. Weibley of Shermans Dale; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leander Aughenbaugh of Carlisle and Seymour Aughenbaugh of Shermans Dale, and a grandson.

The Rev. Kenneth Miller will officiate at services. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
