"Harold L. Beck
Harold L. Beck, 61, of 847 Gail Place, Lancaster, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 in Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Lancaster and was the son of Catherine (Hagen) Beck Pietsch of Paradise and the late Harold F. Beck. He was married to Shelva Jean (Arment) Beck for 33 years. He retired in 1994 as a truck driver for Kemp Foods; he was earlier employed as a truck driver for FlexSteel Industries in Lancaster. Mr. Beck had also served with the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived, in addition to his wife and mother, by a son, Roy M. Beck of Lancaster, and three grandchildren. Also, two step-brothers, Elwood H. Pietsch, Jr. and Kevin Pietsch, both of Lancaster and three step-sisters, Judith Cassel, Marilyn Creasy and Ruthanne Keating, all of Manheim.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 2 PM at Young Funeral Home, 317 East Orange Street, Lancaster. Interment in Riverview Burial Park. Friends may call at Young Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 PM until the time of service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Lancaster Co., 1861 Charter Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601."
