She married Arthur Ross Stone August 6, 1892 in Anthony, KS. They purchased the Carnegie Hotel in January 1923.

Her step-mother, Mrs. W.E. Tibbs (Margaret Bostick Tibbs) died in Anthony, KS in January 1917.

Announcement of the death of Mrs. A.R. Stone at the Chickasha hospital Sunday night came as a shock to Carnegie friends. Mrs. Stone had been at the hospital a week following a sudden illness and several operations. At the time of the fatal attack she looked strong and healthy.
Funeral services were held at the Pitcher funeral home this afternoon and interment was made in the Alden cemetery. Rev. W.A.R. Lovell pastor of the Christian church, conducted the service.
Ada Florence Tibbs was born June 14, 1877 at Pierce City Mo., died August 13, 1923, aged 46 years, 1 months and 29 days. She was married to A.R. Stone at Anthony, Kans., August 6, 1892. To this union were born nine children, eight of whom with the husband survive; two daughters, Mrs. Vanna Whitesell and Mrs. Gladys Grosclose, and six sons, Clarence, Willie, Jesse, Joe Chester and Harry. Three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Manken of Jet, Okla., Mrs. Myrtle Younce of Anthony, Kans., and Mary Nevia of Clovis, Calif., one brother, Charles Tibbs, of Wichita, Kans., and three grandchildren are also among the surviving relatives.
Mrs. Stone was converted at the age of 13 and joined the M.E. Church. Later she joined the Christian church at Alden and was an ardent church worker until her health failed. She was a member of the Rebekah, and Royal Neighbor lodges. Her fraternal sisters assisted in the funeral ceremony.
