OBITUARY: Nellie Seever
On November 18, 1988, Nellie Elizabeth Seever passed away in her home after lingering illnesses, at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
She was born February 2, 1922 in Hanover, Kansas, to Andrew Benjamin and Rosa Mae (Heltman) Disney.
As she grew up, she lived and received her education in several towns in Kansas and Nebraska, until her family settled in Carelton, Nebraska. On March 22, 1943, she was married to Richard L. Stairs at Hebron, Nebraska. This union was to last twenty-three years. Seven children were born to them. Betty Gish of Hastings, Richard L. Stairs of Grand Island, Maxine (Mickey) Kliewer of Stockham, Kenneth Stairs of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alvin Stairs of Hastings, Sharon Kliewer of Stockham, and Catherine Ross of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On February 17, 1967, she married Manuel H. Seever at Holdrege, Nebraska. She worked most of her life as a nurses aid at several area homes. They moved to Stockham, Nebraska, in January 1976, and continued her work as an aide in Aurora, Nebraska, until 1981, due to failing health.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dale, and sisters, Dorothy and Zelma.
Survivors include brothers, Benjamin Disney of Alexandria, Nebraska, Fredrick of Nebraska, and one sister, Mary Glenn of Niceville, Florida. Her four daughters and three sons, nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
We love and will continue to love as she is now being cared for by her Heavenly Father.
