George W. Anderson

George William Anderson 71 of Cushing, Okla. father of Mrs. Rose E. Blackburn of Parson, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at Katy Employees Hospital here.
Anderson entered the hospital Jan. 20 and underwent major surgery Sunday.
He was born Feb. 10, 1882 at Hermitage, Mo. and at 14 moved with his parents to Indian Territory now Okla. He lived in numberous places in Okla. and was married to Cora May Harp of Warner at Muskogee December 28, 1908. They moved to Labette Co. in 1921.
He was employed by the Katy Railroad and retired from his work as a crossing watchman in 1950. Mrs. Anderson died April 23, 1930.
He attended the Holiness Church at Cushing, Okla.
In addition to the daughter here, survivors incluse another daughter, Mrs. Gladys M. Duensing of Winfield, KS. three sons, Samuel T. of Ponca City, Okla., William Earl of Cushing, Okla. Charles H. of Dennis, KS. and one brother Harry Anderson of LaMont, Wyo; one sister Mrs. Ada Moore of San Bernardino, Calif. 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at the Parsons Holiness Church at 2 p.m. thursday, conducted by the Rev. Charlse E. Douglass. Burial will be in Labette City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Washburn-Blossom Funeral Home.
