Dooley Sun, MT: Tosten P. Hegseth, one of the county's most highly respected pioneers, died at his home in the town of Oscar about 10 o'clock this Saturday forenoon from injuries sustained Friday evening. Mr. Hegseth was milking a cow when the animal kicked him in the abdomen rupturing the intestines.

Mr. Hegseth was born in Norway, March 1, 1842, and was 77 years and 3 months old at the time of his death.

He came to this country 53 years ago, taking a homestead in the town of Oscar, where he has ever since made his home. He is survived by his wife and five children, they are: Miss Mollie Hegseth of Wild Rose, N.D., Mrs. Peter Moen of Dalton, P.T. Hegseth of Dooley, Mont., and Nels Hegseth who is on the family farm.

Mr. Hegseth was not only one of the very earliest of the country's pioneers, but was always one of its best citizens. --Fergus Falls Journal
