ADA - A. Lewis Klingler, 89, of the Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton, died there at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday following an extended illness.
Born July 27, 1879, in Hardin County, he was the son of Amos and Lucinda Greenawalt Klingler. He married Effie Dearth, who died in 1948.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. John Wolber of Ada, Mrs. Mildred Montgomery of Bluffton, Mrs. Clea Patton of Dunkirk, Mrs. Carl Smith of Alger, and Mrs. Gene Laughrey of Dearborn, Mich.; two sons, Justin of Ada and Ross of Lima; 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, where services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Charles Link officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hanson Funeral Home, Ada, after noon Wednesday.
