Mrs. Jorgensen, maiden name Alta Myrtle Durand, was born October 25, 1888, in Volga City, Iowa. At the age of two she moved with her parents to Stewart, Minnesota, where she attended the public schools and graduated from the high school at that place. Mrs. Jorgensen was united in marriage to Louie Jorgensen on November 1, 1934. They resided in the city of Beresford and in 1937 moved to Mr. Jorgensen's farm in Rockfield, Clay county, where they have since resided.
Funeral services were held from the Voegeli Funearl Home at 1:00 p.m. and at the Rockfield Lutheran church at 2:00 today, April 17. Rev. A. V. Neve officiated and burial was in the Rockfield cemetery.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Jorgensen is survived by seven children from a former marriage.
