The deceased came here a few weeks ago to visit his son, Dall Deweese. He was not well when her arrived. Before starting for Canon City, he visited a daughter at Washington, and on his way stopped a while in Chicago. The inauguration of President Harrison occurred while he was at Washinton, and from being out in the rain he caught cold, which gave impetus to the disease of which he died. During the time he was here, although not well, and most of the time under the care of a physician, which was able to be around, and was back in town Thursday - three days before his death - to witness the Memorial Day exercises. On Sunday at half past four he passed on. Services were hel at Dall Deweese's residence...remains taken east by Dall for interment at the old hom at Troy, Ohio.
