Real Name: William F Oldham. Jim was a much beloved radio personality, newscaster and weatherman with WPVI TV, Philadelphia. He died while participating in one of his favorite sports, sky-diving. A veteran of over 800 jumps, his parachute became entangled with the chute of another skydiver. Unable to separate the two parachutes, Jim cut himself away, falling to his death while undoubtedly saving the life of his fellow parachuter. Jim was buried in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, next to his father, Franklin, who died ten years prior. There are many You Tube videos of Jim at work. He continues to be sorely missed in Philadelphia. One of the warmest people ever to work in Philadelphia television was Jim O'Brien. He came to Philly as a "Boss Jock" on Famous 56, WFIL Radio. He wanted to move into TV. However, he had to go to WCAU-TV to do it. He was their weathercaster for a brief time, but they couldn't see his talents and was quickly let go. About six months later, he got the nod at Channel 6 as "a try out." It lasted over a decade. He also anchored some of the earlier (in the day) newscasts, but he will forever be remembered as a weathercaster. He also Hosted " Prime Time " on WPVI In Philadelphia until his death on September 25, 1983 In a Skydiving Accident Over The New Hanover Township Airport .

He is sadly missed by all in the Philadelphia Tri-State Area who watched Jim Every Day .
