Staff Sargeant William L Cox was stationed at Scott AFB, IL when he passed away unexpectedly. He was attending a local college to get a degree in computer programming.

In his spare time he loved to fish and go camping around the southern part of Illinois. He especially liked going to Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. He and His friends would fish and swim all day and then play guitar and sing around a campfire at night.

He was very proud of his "Bright Red" 1962 Chevy Corvette convertible. It was his pride and joy as he spent most of his money and free time on it.

Another favorite pastime was shooting a few games of pool. He was very good at it. He had some trick shots that would amaze people.

I had the privilege to be his friend and escort to his final resting place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
