Her mother and stepfather, Alicia Dawn Slightom Bonuchi and Shawn Rouse Bonuchi, survive in Columbia. Her father, Roy Dwayne McDonald, survives in Licking. She attended Lange Middle School in Columbia. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, New Franklin.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Dustin Bonuchi and Joshua Bonuchi, both of Columbia; one sister, Crystal McDonald, Columbia; three grandmothers Lynn Fuhrmann, Belle, Nancy Bonuchi, Columbia, and Charmine McDonald, Licking; one grandfather, Roy McDonald, Licking; and one great-grandmother, Lillie Parker, Rolla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Columbia. The Rev. Rick Koonce and Bishop Michael Reall will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. Memorials are suggested to the Sheena Rae McDonald-Bonuchi Memorial Fund, c/o Boone County National Bank, P.O. Box 577, Columbia, Mo. 65205.

On the evening of May 14, 2000, Sheena had gone for a walk before dinner. She was strangled by David Dewey, a 15 year old boy, in her neighborhood. He was tried as an adult and sentenced to 27 years.
