Paris, Tex., Nov. 27. -- Elmer Mayes, 17 years old, son of Reuben Mayes, left home early this morning to go hunting. Failing to return late in the evening search was instituted. He was found lying dead near a pond in the field with a charge of shot in his breast. He is supposed to have met death while crawling after ducks and dragging his gun.
